So, as we all expected, Carlo Ancelotti is the new manager.
There will be plenty written about his appointment across the board, and I'll add my humble thoughts to the mix, but in the meantime, check out this video interview with the new manager that was posted on the Chelsea website in the last ten minutes here.
Those web editors and cameramen must have had a busy evening/ morning...
Fingers crossed this is the man who can kick-start a new period of success for the club.
Am very, very nervous about this appointment. I guess it's the same when any new manager comes in, but a lot of the comments he's made about our team give cause for concern. Also, his ideas on the people we need seem a little off-base: surely the most pressing issue to resolve is what's going on upfront. Is Drogba staying? If he's going, we need a top, top-draw replacement. Messing with our midfield (especially by adding the ageing Pirlo) seems crazy. Here's hoping I'm proved wrong. But if not, Hiddink to return?!?!
