This transfer deals with one of the questions I had from the beginning about the "now infamous ban." I thought about the possibility of Chelsea doing delayed transfers, whereby they spend money and get the players in January 2011. The downside is this: what if CFC buys players and over the course of this year, they get injured or start to seriously drop in form? Do they get a refund or a "cancellation" clause?

Don't you just love some irony?
This whole subject runs deeper than the simple 'let's forbid young players moving to bigger clubs'. Many small clubs live of selling their (young) players to bigger clubs. And it's only fair, since the player himself has better opportunities of growing better, to a high level, at a big club than a small, sometimes amatourish, one.
And on a side note, I' just loving picturing Mr Blatter's face over his... failure.
Cheers.
